BHHS offers several work-based learning opportunities to explore a career path. Jake Jarrell is pictured here running a skid steer at PCS in Bunker Hill. Jake is part of the cooperative education program at BHHS and has learned many technical skills as a part of his work experience. Jake plans to join the local 520 union and become a master mechanic . BHHS is proud to have representation on IHSA's Student Advisory Committee! Brennan Fulton was nominated and went through an interview process to get selected for the committee. Sunday he spent the day in Bloomington at the IHSA office with other SAC members from across the state working on different projects and initiatives to help IHSA activities.

Congratulations to Cheyanne Brooks, Madelyn Landreth, and Leyna Foschiatti! These students signed letters of intent to attend college after graduation. Cheyanne will be attending Eastern Illinois University and Madelyn and Leyna will be attending Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. We wish them well!

BHHS students participated in a trebuchet contest today at Lewis & Clark Community College. Students had a great time while applying concepts in physics, engineering, and drafting.

In an effort to beat the possible storms tonight, the tennis match at Althoff will start at 3:30 and the baseball game at Lincolnwood will start at 4:00.
8th grade art students are learning how to draw faces by using their classmates as models. After discussing lighting for successful photography, they worked together to pose, take photos, and control lights. They are now starting to outline their classmates' unique features!
The NFHS and IHSA are celebrating officials this week. Thank you to all of the IHSA umpires and referees that give their time so that we can play our games!
Congratulations to the FFA trap team for placing 1st at the Section 15 FFA trap shoot this weekend at Star Gun Club. A special congratulations to Austin Fite and Mason McCurdy for placing 3rd and 4th overall in the Varsity Contest. Corbin Carlson also placed 3rd in the Greenhand (Freshman ) division.
BHHS is very proud of Kris Burney, Lynzie Hill, Braden Fulton, Roland Thyer, Kaylin Bartee, and Daniel Balai (not pictured). These seniors met or exceeded the English or math benchmarks on the 2023 SAT exam. For their accomplishments, the students were treated to a breakfast at Polly's Restaurant.
