Mr. Slover's Human Biology 132 class welcomed Alis Richter from SIUE School of Nursing. The presentation included information about nursing as a profession, experiences with their simulation lab equipment, and information about the SIUE School of Nursing.




Boys Basketball tryouts are just 1 week away. They are November 11th 8:00-10:00, November 12th 3:30-5:00, and November 13th from 3:30-5:00. Players must have a current physical in order to try out.


Basic Agriculture Mechanics students participated in a cool, real-life lesson today. Each student group were given a specific section of a house to wire. As a group, they collaborated, drew diagrams, and wired lights, GFCIs, and 3-way switches. Once the wiring was completed, each section was wired to breakers for testing.

This past week, several FFA members traveled to Indianapolis for the 2024 National FFA Convention and Expo. At the Expo, they were able to talk to representatives from colleges and other agricultural companies.






That's a wrap on 2024 BHHS Homecoming! We had a blast with all the activities this past week. We would love to see any pictures family or friends have took throughout the week and during homecoming!










The BHHS Youth Advisory Committee had a great time going classroom to classroom and interacting with the younger students at Wolf Ridge today for Red Ribbon week.







Seniors Dillon Guess, Maya Henfling and Madalynn Hilyard attended the SIUE College Fair where over 50 colleges from the US were represented. Look out world, here they come!


Congratulations to our 2024 BHHS Homecoming King (Dillon Guess) and Queen (Maya Henfling). Amazing job to the BHHS Student Council and K's Events and Creations for decorating and putting in such hard work to making this years homecoming amazing! Another big thank you to the lunch ladies for providing refreshments for the dance.


Students in Mrs. Eschbach's Mythology class discovered a list of mythological creatures associated with Greek Mythology. They had to choose their favorite creature and make it using Play-doh. Some BHHS students are learning to use new measurement devices in their PLTW engineering class. They have started their unit on mechanical engineering and doing a lesson on biomechanics. The students are measuring the movements of the elbow using a goniometer.

Here is a quote from Mrs. Albrecht-Tipler: "We have some thinkers!" She is referring to a 2-day calculus problem that students have been working together to solve . Pictured here are the 3 brave students ( Austin, Dillon, Clint) who took the challenge and finished the problem today!





Check this out! Mr. Marsh's shop classes worked hard on putting together a little library out front of BHHS. All the material and several of the books were generously donated by Judy Rothermich. Keep a look out for Wolf Ridge's little library coming soon!
