Congratulations to Zoey Watkins! Zoey is a freshman member of the Bunker Hill High School track team and she earned an astounding 30 points for the team at Thursday night's meet at Southwestern. She earned 1st place in the 300m low hurdles, the 100m dash, the 400m, and 2nd place in long jump. Pretty impressive at her first ever high school meet!

On Tuesday, the Bunker Hill FFA chapter took a trip to Greenville to participate in a Dairy Cattle CDE where Kiersten Carlson placed 8th, they placed 4th as a team! The weather was beautiful, and they enjoyed using their knowledge of dairy cattle to compete against neighboring schools. That same night Sophie Rull and Kiersten Carlson competed in an FFA Public Speaking contest where they were given topics at the event to speak about. This gave the girls a chance to share their speaking skills and gain more confidence.

Some of Mr. Banwart’s AP Euro students presented virtually in the Euro Challenge competition on Friday. They gave a 15-minute presentation on Italy’s challenges with public debt, and recommended that southern Italy invest in domestic manufacturing and repatriation to revive their economy and balance sheet. Then they fielded 6 tough questions from a panel of 4 judges from University of Illinois Euro Center. Job well done, team! We are proud of you!!
