
Our Minutemen came out on top tonight with a 13-3 win versus Maryville Christian. Great job guys!




This past Wednesday, Mrs. Eschbach's College Prep English 4 class had Dr. Collin Vorbeck, Assistant Professor of Theatre from Blackburn College, visit to talk to students about different opportunities at college like Theatre. They were able to act out a fun script, and as you can see, they had a blast!

Mrs. Wilkinson was able to take next year's yearbook club editors, Mady Landreth and Lynzie Hill, to the zoo for the 2024 Yearbook Inspo Day Event hosted by publisher, Walsworth. They enjoyed a zoo-based photo scavenger hunt, a great lunch, and a great opportunity to brainstorm ideas for their senior yearbook!





There will be a meeting for all parents and players to meet the new basketball coach next Tuesday, May 2nd in the BHHS library at 5:30pm.

Several baseball and softball fans were out tonight to watch our Minutemen and Minutemaids compete against Gillespie. Although we came up short in both games, our athletes played hard and made some outstanding plays!







Macoupin County Public Health Department executes a Mental Health Awareness Contest every year. Each piece of artwork has an explanation on the back of the canvas. The students who participated in this contest are Dakota Schwallenstecker, Aedyn Heflin, Trinity Throne, Kayleigh Trimm, and Kylee Crider.


Due to our bus driver shortage, we are moving 4 game times next week.
Boys volleyball on 4/25 @ Marquette will now start at 5:00.
Softball on 4/26 @ Greenville will now start at 5:30.
Softball on 4/27 @ Lincolnwood will now start at 5:30.
Softball on 4/28 @ Carrollton will now start at 5:30.

What you cant see from this picture is that right behind the first basemen there was about 4 inches of water on the field that morning. Our maintenance crew has been doing an amazing job giving these kids a chance to play this spring. Thanks Ryon and Ron for your hard work!


Congratulations to our BHHS FFA for placing 4th overall in Ag Business Management with Tom Sander placing 9th and Logan Helling placing 1st in the varsity division!


Minutemen baseball earned a big win tonight vs. Mulberry Grove. Final score was 17-3. Way to go guys!



BHHS softball went to an overall 9-2 and 6-0 (conference) record tonight with a win over visiting Alton Marquette. Our boys baseball and volleyball teams came up short, but played very hard tonight against tough opponents.



The BHHS PE classes held a community pickleball lesson this afternoon at the Mae Meissner Whitaker Park. Our students and community members had a lot of fun together! We hope to expand similar school-community activities in the future.









Finishing out our busy and extremely successful day at BHHS, we honored our Seniors and their parents at the boys volleyball game. The Minutemen came out on top, beating Granite City High School in 2 sets tonight! If you have not made it out to see a game, it is very exciting to watch and these you men are improving very quickly. The next home game is tomorrow night. JV starts at 5:00.




Minutemen baseball was victorious this evening with a 6-5 win over EAWR. Congrats guys!






Our Minutemen Tennis Team split tonight vs. MetroEast Lutheran High School--3 to 3. Overall, our boys are improving tremendously in both skill and confidence!



At the Staunton Invitational Friday night Grant Burch placed 4th in the discus and Zoey Watkins place 4th in the 100m, 5th in the 200m, 5th in the Long Jump with a personal record of 14’2” and finished 3rd in the 300m Low Hurdles with a personal record of 54.73.



Today, BHHS partnered with the Macoupin Center for the Developmentally Disabled to celebrate neurodiversity day. Everyone enjoyed lunch, an art project, science lesson, and an "I Spy Hunt and Share" activity. It was an awesome experience for all!




Congrats to BHHS's Silver Medallion Award winners! Noah Thyer, Julianna Scroggins, Ruth Gibson, and Grant Burch represent the top 8% of the Class of 2023, earning them the award for academic excellence.
