The April Student of the Month for Bunker Hill High School is Luke Wolff. He is the son of Charles and Michelle Wolff.
Luke has two older sisters, Meghan Cope and Rachel Wolff. During high school, he has participated in FFA all four years. He was treasurer his sophomore year, vice president his junior year and is currently the FFA president. As a member of FFA, he participated in FFA fair, attended several judging competitions and went to the National FFA Convention the last two years. Luke has also been a member of the National Honor Society since his junior year and has been on the Principal's list. He has participated in men’s volleyball his junior and senior years and was captain both years. He was also chosen All Conference 1st team and MVP his junior year.
Outside of school, Luke has been a member of the Bunker Hill Livewires 4-H Club for 10 years. He has held all offices at the club level and many at the county level. 4-H has taught him leadership skills and how important community service is to help those in need. A few of the county awards he has won include Outstanding 4-H Member, Outstanding Agricultural Member, the “I Dare You Award”, and the Electricity Award.
Luke will be attending Lewis and Clark Community College in the fall and will transfer to SIUE to complete his degree. He plans on becoming an Electrical Engineer. His fondest memory from high school is when he bought baby chickens twice when coming home from a FFA judging competition.
